This classic book, originally published in 1979, is still a standard text and is being updated and revised by Lorraine Anne Davis. The revision will include essays by Paul Messier - the photograph conservator that uncovered the Hine fakes, Gerry Badger - the author, with Martin Parr - of the two volume Photobook, and Britt Salvesen at the Creative Center for Photography in Tucson - among others, and will cover the important topics of collecting and a section on Lee Witkin and the heyday of the Witkin Gallery.
The revised version will keep the information of the original and include the negative sizes, who printed for whom, and other basic information about a myriad of photographers.
However, the original is a classic - that I use everyday - and the revision will fit nicely alongside the original with out too much redundancy.
