 Not good for even a cheap radio December 8, 2008
This is identical to the Kaito KA-208 in every way, inside & out. They're both painted silver gray, not blue like in the KA-208 picture.
Through the speaker & included earphone the sound sounds distorted, scratchy, like over compressed mp3s.
Battery door pops off accidentally just by holding the radio in your hand & trying to tune the thing. Tuning dial is too hard to turn, so you usually jump several stations past the one you want when trying to tune it.
AM & FM reception is bad even a mini or under 10 dollar radio.
It's frail & fragile. Handle with care.
The Coby CX-50 is a far better product in the same price range & size. Better reception, better sound quality, & more solidly built. It has a real metal face & looks cooler too. It's also about 2 MM thinner, & about 1 MM less wide & tall... the smallest AM-FM radio with a built in speaker I've found since the 70s. I paid about 5 bucks for my CX-50.

A nice looking little radio. but within 24 hours the tuner no longer worked. I did not inform the dealer as the return shipping would cost more than the unit is worth. Look for another radio or save your money

This mini radio can pick up FM stations better than most large and expensive sets; AM stations are picked up as well. The small speaker can belt out really decent volume. Great stocking stuffer!
